The purpose of this role is to establish high quality preconstruction budgets, logistics and schedules while working in conjunction with operations to seamlessly execute projects at the highest level. Position requires skills as an estimator, scheduler, team builder and effective communicator. This position will support the preconstruction, marketing, and business development efforts at AmCon. This position will also lead the estimating effort and interface with/support the Operations Team at AmCon. This position requires effective scope writing, identifying scope gaps within construction documents, reviewing onsite conditions and identifying potential risks.
General Responsibilities
Manage multiple estimates within a fast-paced working environment
Ensure that the information required to begin the estimating process is accurate and available by working with Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Vendors and Subcontractors in a courteous and professional way
Build effective working relationships with clients and AmCon project team members
Build, maintain & expand subcontractor base & working relationships
Present information and proposals effectively to clients based on their needs and preferences
Help manage and train early in career employees to gain industry knowledge and experience
Requirements
Degree in applicable discipline or adequate experience preferred
Ability to manage, embrace change, respond, and adapt
Attention to detail, excellent client service skills, works cooperatively and collaboratively with others
Highly effective time management skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
OST (OnScreen Takeoff), Building Connected, Procore experience preferred
