Director of Operations

The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and managing multiple project teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients. They are responsible for developing and managing a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and support staff, as well as overseeing day to day operations. An executive level position, the Director of Operations serves as a driving force of the firm’s commitment to excellence and is expected to consult with leadership on high-level construction strategy, along with applying effective leadership techniques to the planning, design & construction phases of all projects.

General Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end operations of construction for all company projects.
  • Exemplify strong leadership skills, having the capacity to build-out Construction Operations team and the ability to adapt and evolve with the company’s future growth plans.
  • Assess current operations, with the focus on developing & implementing improved policies and procedures to achieve goals and support the company’s mission and core values.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and subconsultants.
  • Manage and spearhead monthly project specific financial meetings with Project Managers and Accounting to ensure accurate & timely month end close.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff as we grow, including managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective team dynamic. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with company values and culture.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience in construction industry
  • Proven success in organizing and managing multiple construction project teams from onset to close out. Ability to embrace change, respond, and adapt.
  • History of successful project completions, high client satisfaction and profits
  • Skilled in business development and client relations
  • Experience working with Procore preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
